United States Steel Operating Technician (New Hire) in Lone Star, Texas

8787BRJob Description:U.S. Steel Tubular Products, Inc. is seeking NDT Technicians for its Lone Star, Texas facility.

Primary Responsibilities & Requirements:

Operate inspection equipment to perform non-destructive testing and be able interpret the results in magnetic particle (MT), electromagnetic (ET), and ultrasonic (UT). Perform non-destructive tests on tubular products. Calibrates and adjusts ultrasonic test equipment to required standards and settings.

Maintain a high level of safety standards and follow all Safety guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience: 1 year of manufacturing experience or SNT-TC-1A certification, Level I - required. Level II certification in ET, MT, and UT preferred.

High School Diploma or GED.

Work Environment:

The job is within a heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the mill. Dependent upon the area you will work in, the environmental conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy.

As you also know, the position requires you to work rotating shifts, which will include Saturdays and Sundays. The position also requires you to work overtime as needed.

Additionally, safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes safety wear such as hard hat, goggles, hearing protection, and protective clothing and work boots with metatarsal protection.
