STEEL TUBULAR PRODUCTS OPERATIONSWork Location:LONE STAR TUBULAR OPERATIONSJob Description:The primary function of the Main Plant Shipping Processor is to ensure that inventory movements are properly entered in Oracle. This includes keying of inventory movement from Mobile Equipment Activity Reports, Welder load out sheets, and various other activity reports (example: outside contractor report or crew leader’s activity). In addition, the Main Plant Shipping Processor keys Oracle transactions to balance negative inventory which is generated from production on operating units and reject pieces/footage from inspection units. The Main Plant Shipping Processor also works closely with Business Planning, Operations, Quality (lab), and Production Accounting to ensure pipe flow through the mill. This includes the daily generation of facilities lineups which provide a list of the material available to process through a given facility. The Main Plant Shipping Processor monitors quality communications to help ensure proper disposition by making notes in Oracle for lots placed on hold. The Main Plant Shipping Processor receives in Oracle and applies a skelp # to inbound tubes receiving further processing at the plant. The Main Plant Shipping Processor communicates with the shift manager and yard personnel to properly route pipe through the operating facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

Updates Oracle inventory on a timely manner each day.

a. Involves keying activity reports and pipe movement into Oracle

b. Making transactions that balance negative inventory generated from production on operating units and reject pieces/footage from inspection units

Prepare lineups for each operating unit and Inventory Reports for Shipping Foreman and Crew Leaders.

Determine which products to route, prepare shipping documents and enter data into Oracle for shipments to STSD yard, outside yards and customers.

File completed paperwork from the previous day

Process inbound receipts for pipe to be processed (example: inbound Fairfield product)

After truck is loaded, calculate pieces/footage for the tally and keys the data into the Oracle to generate a Bill of Lading for each truck.

After a mill reject car is weighed, keys the data into the Oracle to generate a shipping notice for each Railcar.

Print the Shipping Notice and Tally and then distribute copies to their respective areas.
