Renewable Energy Group Maintenance Technician in New Boston, Texas
POSITION PURPOSE:
The purpose of this job is to be responsible for and assist withperforming the maintenance of all equipment in the factory, identifying and ordering spare parts, working with contractors to maintain and upgrade the plant, and improving the reliability of the plant. This position is also responsible for ensuring the plant is maintained in a safe and clean condition.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Key Accountabilities:
Maintain the Plant
Write work orders
Write Requisitions for parts and materials to maintain the plant
Perform preventive maintenance tasks
Support predictive maintenance practices
Perform Corrective maintenance
Perform failure analysis and implement improvements
Update and maintain the CMMS information for the plant
Enter work order information into the CMMS
Calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair plant controls, valves, and instruments
Troubleshoot and repair Motor Control Centers
Operate Utility systems
Boilers
Air compressors
Water Treatment systems
Other frequent duties:
Assist operations as needed
Operate equipment such as skid steers, fork truck, rail movers, lifts, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required:2 year associates degree– Industrial technology, Instrumentation Technician, Industrial technician or equivalent.
**Experiencemay substitute education requirements
Experience Required: 2-5 years depending on education
**Experience in a process plant or production environment experience in biofuels, petrochemical or agricultural sectorspreferred
Skills Required:
Verbal and written communication skills
Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,)
Strong organization skills
Strong technical background
Ability to work as a member of a team
Special skills or knowledge preferred:
Instrumentation and/or controls
Centrifugal pump operation and maintenance
Millwright or mechanic training
Welding skills or Certification
Cause analysis
CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional)
